If flying is your preference, Virgin Australia fly's direct from Brisbane to Hobart. Whereas Jetstar and Qantas will fly from Brisbane via Melbourne to Hobart.

Wellington Park – a natural reserve situated right on the doorstep of Tasmania’s capital city, Hobart.

Looking at art used to be boring. It still is, maybe, but at least here at Mona, the Museum of Old and New Art, you can get drunk and/or rage against the machine. Located just up the river from Hobart , Mona's subterranean architecture showcases David Walsh’s $110m private collection of art and antiquities. Mona is also home to the Moorilla winery, Faro Restaurant, bars, cafe, accommodation pavilions and more (plus Moo Brew, an off site brewery).
The Richmond Bridge is a heritage listed arch bridge located in Richmond, north of Hobart. The sandstone arches of Richmond Bridge have spanned Tasmania’s Coal River since 1825. Built by convict labour, it is Australia’s oldest surviving large stone arch bridge.
